What is contested?

Y2i Youth 2 Innovation contest is a competition of innovative ideas and plans in business and in business incubation. The more innovative and feasible your idea is, and the better it is prepared, the higher are your chances to win.

 

The contest is conducted in the following three categories: Young incubatees innovation (tenants of business incubators), young business innovation, and young business incubator innovation.

 

Why should I participate?

Because participation does not only give you the chance to receive an expert review of your business or business incubation idea. It offers you the unique opportunity to win a participation in infoDev’s 3rd Global Forum on Business Incubation in Brasilia, Brazil in May 2009.

 

At the forum, you will meet with business incubation and innovation experts from all over the world, and you will have a chance to introduce your plan to a unique group of potential investors and business partners.

 

Who can participate?

You can participate, if you fulfill the following criteria:

 

• By the time of the deadline of the application, you are older than 17 and younger than 31 years. If you are a team, the team members shall be in this age group.
• You are an active entrepreneur or plan to become one. You participate in an incubation program or plan to participate. You might also work at a business incubator.
• You live and work/study in Central and Eastern Europe or in Central Asia.

 

Who organizes it?

Y2i contest is organized by ECAbit Eastern European and Central Asian business incubators network. It is supported by the infoDev information for development program, hosted by the World Bank (www.infoDev.org). Project coordinator is Dr. Radu Big, CDIMM Maramures, Romania (www.cdimm.org).

 

When and where to apply?
